Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the price of my session?

Typically, the price of the session includes the time on-location shooting, my time editing the images, and your online gallery of images for you to print where you like.

Wait, so I get the right to print images where I’d like and the rights to the digital files?

Yes! Your gallery is yours to own, and you may do with it what you’d like. The only thing you will not be able to do is add any further editing to your images.

How long will it take for my images to be ready?

My turnaround is pretty fast, which is what I am known for. Usually 7-10 days.

Are pets allowed during my session?

Absolutely! I love animals, and I often do sessions with JUST dogs and/or cats. Any type of furry friend is fine to include in your family session. Please let me know before hand if you’d like to include your pet, as many times, the location is a big factor into whether or not it would be a good idea.

What happens if we have an outdoor session scheduled, but the weather is bad that day/time?

Texas weather can be tricky to predict, therefore I always contact my clients a few days before our session to discuss weather and possible options to reschedule, if necessary. Sometimes, if the clients are willing, I can move the session indoors at their homes if they’d like, or move to an indoor public venue such as a hotel lobby, shopping center, etc.

What is in your camera bag?

I shoot with a Canon Mark iv body, and I use exclusively prime lens, my favorites being the 28, 35, 50, 85 and 135 mm lens.

What should I wear in our photo session?

Anytime you have any questions on what you and your family should wear, please ask! I am always available to help with wardrobe ideas based on the location and what I believe photographs well.

I often tell my clients to look Pinterest or Google “family wardrobe ideas for photo sessions,” etc. You can find so much on the internet to inspire your outfits, as well as get a good sense of what colors/patterns go together nicely. You should always wear clothing in which you feel comfortable. I suggest wearing clothing that doesn’t wrinkle easily, isn’t see-through, and allows you to move easily.

How long have you been doing photography?

I have been working in the art field for over 20 years, and have a background in radio/TV/film from the University of North Texas. Photography has been my passion for 15 years and my career since 2012.
